  • Manipulation of a large amount of different type of data (topographic, geological, geophysical, seismological, geodetic, geochemical, remote sensing, etc), from different sources, in different formats, scales and map projections.
  • Compilation of thematic and synthetic layers and maps with their database in a common cartographic system.
  • Production of high resolution DEMs for the land and sea area, topographic data as well as satellite images.
  • Database development and management.
  • Satellite Image processing (geometrical and atmospheric corrections, enhancement, transformation, classification, Interferometry Radar etc) and interpretation relating to geology, tectonic, geodynamic, geomorphology, land use, ground deformation, ground and sea temperature etc.

PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE

Working on various research projects, I have developed special software in ArcGIS environment, on various fields of Geosciences.

The specific software named “PROANA”, after the Greek initials (“Prototype Analysis Anaglyfou (Terrain)”), was developed within my Doctorate Thesis on W/S Arc/Info basis, producing synthetic Maps for the Terrain Analysis relating to the geodynamics of a region. This software can be used as a useful tool for geo-environmental applications related to the terrain analysis.
